Nicky Stewart is a commercial real estate specialist with a focus on the retail, serviced office and managed space sectors. She is highly experienced in landlord and tenant matters, investment purchases, sales and hotel acquisitions.

Nicky is a solicitor with over 30 years’ experience dealing with commercial property transactions, in particular landlord and tenant and investment matters.

Nicky has extensive experience in the serviced office sector acting on all aspects of serviced office licences, virtual arrangements, refinancing of portfolios, and more recently, managed space deals. She also acts on the acquisition and disposal of business centres (freehold and leasehold), and sale and lease-back deals.

She specialises in retail, acting for tenants from start-ups to household names to new international entrants into the UK market.  She advises on acquisitions in shopping centres, retail parks and outlets, and also on disposals, re-gears and general asset management.

Nicky has been involved in a number of hotel portfolio acquisitions and advises on the management of clients' mixed-use investment portfolios.

She adopts a commercial and pragmatic "can do" approach and works closely with agents to offer clients a one-stop-shop service.

She provides her clients with strategic and commercial advice and has acted for the majority of her clients for many years in the role of a trusted advisor.

  • Various national retailers on acquisitions of new stores in shopping centres and on the high street, retail parks and outlets. She has acted on surrenders, re-gears and reversionary leases.
  • Acted for BE Offices on acquisitions and disposals of business centres, sale and leaseback transactions, BeSpoke Managed Space acquisitions, refinancing, occupational lettings and all licence related matters.
  • Acted for Pitney Bowes in connection with its property portfolio requirements in the UK.
  • Acted for UNISON on its property portfolio requirements, including the development of its new headquarters site in King's Cross, London and the sale of its former headquarters office, including branch office acquisitions, disposals, and re-gears.
  • Acted for a hotel operator and property company on its property portfolio including the acquisition of hotel businesses as single operations and portfolio packages, acquisition and disposal of commercial investment properties, residential flats, and general management work.
  • Grant of leases to NHS GPs.
