have reported that London hotels have recorded their highest ever revenue per available room (revpar) and average daily rate (ADR) for the month on record.
The record results are based on preliminary monthly figures from data company STR, with the full June 2019 results later this month.
According to the analysts, the figures reflected several major events in the capital during June 2019.
And - this is despite there being more hotel rooms in development in London than in Italy or Portugal. As Grayson Perry said when asked if he liked London, "It'll be nice when it's finished"...
Revpar and ADR increased by 15.7% to £159.95 and 11.3% to £178.20 respectively. Occupancy was also up by 4% to 89.76%, while a 5.7% increase in demand for rooms outstripped the 1.7% growth in supply.
